Spritzer or Seltzer? Spiked Seltzer or Soda? What about canned cocktails?

Is your head spinning yet? We get it. There are A LOT of options out there, so we’re going to break down the difference between a hard seltzer and a wine spritzer and let you decide which one is the best choice. Ahem, we’re pretty sure we know the answer already 😜

What is a Hard Seltzer?

Hard seltzers consist of sparkling water and an alcohol base such as spirits, wine, malt, or cane sugar. Typically, an optional flavor is added.

What is a Wine Spritzer?

A wine spritzer is a cocktail made with wine, club soda, and ice. They provide the wine flavor you seek but with an added layer of versatility. There are wine spritzer mixed cocktail recipes for every palate.

Are Wine Spritzers Better Than Hard Seltzers?

We may be a little bit biased, but our short answer is Yes! The alcohol in Cool Cat, for instance, comes straight from the wine vineyards in sunny Cali, not cane sugar. Plus, wine spritzers contain more alcohol (ours has 6.9%), so you can drink less and get more bang for the buck.
